A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

在北野武的个人简介中，浅草岁月被“当过……脱衣舞秀场的喜剧演员”一句简单带过，原本以为那是一段不堪回首的落魄往事，却没想到是感人至深的恩师义徒故事。 很喜欢影片中那些被毫不遮掩又不动声色揭开的伏笔：踢踏舞、高跟鞋。 从技艺上讲，深见教给北野武的不多，但是他敏锐地发现“这小子说不定会成功”，教给他“要逗人笑”和“我是谐星，八格牙路“的傲骨。 最大的遗憾是出现北野武本人，“我是谐星，八格牙路”如果从北野武本人口中说出来，我肯定已经大笑着哭出来了。 北野武本人没有出现，他的歌声却在首尾呼应着。《浅草KID》，沧桑，嘶哑，悠扬。
气氛还行。揭示了黑帮作为一个组织和人的生活方式的对人的否定。反文明而缠绕终生的阴影。但反抗、推翻，然后从头再来。和解——沉浸在剪裁的工作中。
规范但不聪明，讨巧但不给力，从第二幕开始对主角“控制力”的刻画升级，然而只能说毫无悬念，压力设置平平无奇，甚至因为过于沉稳的表演而感觉不到压力，就是带着观众在看戏，这种戏剧性算不上好，甚至像是一次编剧转型导演的MFA毕设
也有不太严谨的地方，但现在还愿意尝试这种风格，还能完成得这么好的片子，必须五星致敬。同类可看《夺魂索》《足迹》《死亡计中计》《暂无出口》《在糟糕的日子里》
整个故事做得很饱满，反转一气呵成，但全靠男主演技撑，其他配角演得都黯然无光。看完没有什么思考的空间。
后半段还是有些煽情过度了，要是北野武老爷子本尊出场，绝不会允许拍得这么实的～但瑕不掩瑜，整体的观感还是很不错，重心放在师徒情上，也捎带展现了数字媒体对舞台表演的冲击～“由来只有新人笑，有谁听到旧人哭”，但这部电影是真的让我在新人的笑里听到了旧人的哭～另外柳乐优弥的演技也不错，确实撑起了痞气又烂漫的北野武～

精巧的三一律剧本，马克·里朗斯稳稳压阵。几次反转蛮有意思的，也让戏剧张力在狭小的环境里发挥到了纯熟功效，结尾的那一段反派爬起来，以及马克叔点火，都有点煞风景，不过不妨碍整体的“一出好戏”。看下来之后惊觉，这应该是短片的体量撑成了长片吧。
后半段情绪和情感都变得顺滑了，原来不是北野武的传记片，而是深见千三郎的。深见和妻子的感情真好啊，老婆去陪酒养他，换今天就会被骂了。法兰西座没落的场景段落，导演还算是捕捉到了一丝落寞的情绪，其余大部分时间确实都感觉不到导演的存在。本来还觉得北野武deserves better，不过柳乐优弥演得也算成功了，嘴抽筋，眨眼睛，演完恐怕不容易回得去，当然全片最像北野武那段，恐怕还是上电视台表演也是说自己想说的，才不甩那些规矩呢！ps：居然有中岛步

卧槽，这老年北野武也太有那味了吧，不愧是影帝（小声）
还行，明明是部美国片，但是英伦味还挺正的。导演是《模仿游戏》拿奥斯卡的编剧小哥，整个片子也能感觉到，非常强调编剧的存在。这种也属于是国内观众会喜欢的“强反转”的那一类片子，尽管我认为这个剧作还是有些过于依赖巧合的推动了，但娱乐性和流畅感还是不错的，对于首执导筒的长片来说，完成度已经很高了。同时，借用剪裁师的身份，形成一种人性表里的对比，以“文明”来掩盖“野蛮”，意象到位。服装美术非常精美，马克·里朗斯的表演也很强，三星半。
