The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 可能老人家到了那个年纪都希望世界还是要像童话一样美好就好了。

比《老爷车》稍微缺了一点点，但比《Mule》要好很多。
3星半，吉他配乐特别引人入胜，整个事件过于简单又顺利，基本说服不了观众的动机。美墨边境的混乱常态根本不值一提，少年一路上也省心，碰到的都是好人，大方的女老板、从天而降的车、以为是拦路虎却没什么用的警察。和以前的片子比，就是个流水账，不想说它是“童话”，可拍得很安然无恙又太过浅白。这西部片的配乐很符气质，虽然到处槽点也不至于很难过，看到这片，想着牛仔导演怎么还不退休。
最后那两个怀疑东木车里藏du的警察，是不是从《骡子》片场穿越过来的？
骨子里的牛仔精神，一次对于《完美的世界》的自我复制，但故事上和老牛仔近些年的故事一样更加童话和美好，也许这就是老头子越发老小老小的“童”心未泯吧 ★★☆
