The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 制作强大，两大影帝护航，但M.Q撑不起动作女星女主；从海报看得出导演想打造女版《疾速追杀》，不过动作70分，整体合格，风格化出不来（意味着缺乏独特的美学）；最糟糕的还是添油加醋的故事，女主未体验出越南女性的独特性，反而看上去是典型西方女性；最最糟糕的是故事逻辑实在经不起推敲，几个转折点让人摸不着头脑（具体不说了）。实话讲，这故事纯粹按照女版John来拍，突出女杀手的特殊性，打斗和视觉再风格化一些，剪掉无谓的煽情，能打造出系列片（目前看来感觉没有下一部了）。
塞缪尔倒是很适合演这种角色，但是又硬凹什么史密斯夫妇感啊？？？？？不懂这个故事线

故事情节、剪辑、节奏、人设都很奇怪的一部电影。
2021/9/21/刨去基顿的角色感觉更像一个完整的故事，跟同期《凯特》相比，剧情更加地完整。但是李美琪和基顿的几场对手戏完全没有看明白，虽然基顿演得很不错，结局也有点开放式结局的意思，还有最大的BUG就是30年后那个柜子还在那里。
