The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 别国拍的东西在反思不足，我国拍的东西企图叫观众感恩戴德。永远讨厌宏大叙事，因为“人”会被忽略。永远可以对Jodie Comer的演技有信心，即使没有脸部出镜只有声音的那段，角色满满的焦虑都从屏幕里溢出来。但最后出走的情节真的有些跳脱。
以小见大，国内拍的比起来就是屎……不过英国同样很奇葩，敢拍却不防疫，真是无话可说
导演的伟大不止在于抨击新冠疫情，还反映了弱势群体被冷漠抛弃的必然。

看到片尾的字幕，会对这种作品充满敬意，期待有朝一日我们也可以用电影来改变社会

这是我看的第一部新冠相关题材的影剧，片中许多的片段，都让人回想起两年前新冠爆发时，亲历过的恐惧和无奈的心境。西方百姓对疾病防控的认知和我们并没有大不同，只是他们更关注「个人」而不是「国家」罢了。
