The Cell In a three-part series, Dr Adam Rutherford tells the extraordinary story of the scientific quest to discover the secrets of the cell and of life itself. This episode explores how scientists delved ever deeper into the world of the cell, seeking to reveal the magic ingredient that can spark a bundle of chemicals into life. Their discoveries have brought us to the brink of being able to create life for ourselves.
The Spark of Life
The final part reveals how our knowledge of cells has brought us to the brink of one of the most important moments in history. Scientists are close to repeating what has happened only once in four billion years - the creation of a new life form.

简洁的故事，甚至没有故事。用镜头的语言表达情绪氛围，不过度依赖文本。嗯，这是电影该有的样子，久违了，真舒服。
充满孩童的天真与任性，和来自长大了的孩子的痛苦与温柔。在新装修好的laemmle观看过程极其放松，像是身心都浸泡在温泉里。虚构与现实交汇，极度私人又容易共情；流畅的对白和剪辑，处理妥当的光线和阴影。如果有一天我真的也拍电影，大概这就是我想拍的片子的样子吧。（btw之前因为去看了belfast以为这俩题材相近，就错过了这部的首轮院线。看完简直要大喊这不比belfast好看多了嘛！这不值得几个提名吗！）
喜欢凤凰叔，喜欢黑白片，喜欢文艺调调，推荐。个人觉得最有价值的是影片记录的和儿童的对谈。儿童严肃且深刻的表达关于父母、朋友、人生、世界的看法。活着的初心，孩子知晓，成人忘却。仔细聆听成人与儿童的问答，教育工作者可以看到直击人心的互动与儿童的哲学思辨，父母可以看到不同的亲子相处方式。诗意，琐碎的影像记录了爱和接纳的过程，成人与儿童的双向奔赴，感人且值得深思。
小丑版《菊次郎的夏天》，小正太懂事到爆。育儿说到底，还是成年人和孩子之间彼此伤害又治愈、相互教育和共同成长的过程。以孩子这面镜子反观大人，真是惭愧又惊悚。舅舅以拍纪录片为由去采访孩子们，也是凭借那些纯净的精神光谱检视自身——借由他们无分别心的目光，观察和面对这个问题百出的世界。那些可爱的灵魂拷问，改天捉住我家小朋友也问一问好啦。
很舒服又有爱的电影，华金菲尼克斯和小男孩的互动很温暖，故事和节奏不是特别吸引人，但很多台词写的很棒，喜欢里面对小朋友们的采访片段，单拎出来做成纪录片一定会非常有趣…3.5

情绪的不断变化，脆弱敏感又如此吸引人，可以一直一直拍下去。
很温情，亲密关系的核心是能真实地表达情绪，喜欢两个人在林子里吼着吼着就笑了的那段，最后小侄子问他是否会记得两人发生的这一切，莫名戳中泪点…（是不是艺术家都喜欢思考死亡，trying to turn mundane things into eternity
我们说的话大部分都是Blah, blah, blah
美版《菊次郎的夏天》
就很喜欢都是人生哲理的枯燥说教电影，每一段台词都是对思想的冲洗，即使是十五分钟的快冲，也让人神清气爽，爱的很。
这是啥？育儿教育指导片？小演员太灵了吧，骗人生孩子系列🤷🏻♂️
當cliche 拍得不落俗套，孩子想像的未來以及成年人不敢面對的將來，累極時為自己打打氣，c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon。生命糟透了，但很正常。

所有人都怀抱着对地球和人类的好奇来到这颗星球，然后在越来越忙碌的生活中忘记最初的模样。好在，这个世界上还有小孩子来教大人成长，他们教导我们，要真诚，要尊重彼此，要不忘初衷。
think free is much more precious than think itself.
3.6 温柔啊，让人感觉是用心思考过的产出。受采的大小朋友有对人际关系的感知，有自我认知，有思辨能力，这些和结尾一起让我感到心软，kids tend to think freely，成年人会有很多时刻需要这些天马行空又有点道理的想法来治愈。也很喜欢通篇对声音的处理。母亲去世这条线有点抽离，似乎也可以带出妹妹的情绪问题吧。（看一半被抓去防疫两天后回来看完也是一个神奇体验）
such a beautiful movie in its own right. magically, first time feel right to have a movie in black and white. often thought childhood is the most carefree period and forgot it's also almost the most sensitive time, compelled to take in the turbulences from surrounding environments, and struggled to cope as much as adults, so not really an easy time in retrospect. this movie covers this topic with such tenderness and well crafted structure, nicely done
