The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 4.5 / 第一部施拉德。粗俗如我只在本片 get 到了伊萨克的肉体，所以，肉欲爆棚却演这么个冷淡阴沉的角色太违和了。而且凡梦境就用 VR 镜头展现，莫不是施拉德拜了毕赣为师？戴上眼镜才能身临其境罢了。
摄影和剪辑很加分。虽然但是，对于黑狱中的执行者没啥值得原谅的，尽管他也是个人。

不要被片名骗了，只是个复仇的故事，还是为别人复仇的故事。
保罗.施拉德这一次特别给劲儿！这部和他的上一部作品《第一归正会》真的是一样一样的，同样是两个几乎毫无关联的母题，又在一百多分钟的时间里使其串联在一起。还是那样荒诞的剧本、错位的人物、谜题一般的主角、迷幻的配乐，使整部电影充满了保罗.施拉德特有的吊诡气质。
我觉得把最后34分钟截掉，反而是个比较完整的故事～～

算是蛮讽刺的故事。复仇和扑克毫无关系，但是也是人生无法像赌博一样算出几率
诡异迷幻的视觉风格，冰冷的超广角镜头，主角的呢喃，时而出现的呼吸声，一切都是那么的讨人喜欢，只是节奏慢的沉闷了。施拉德笔下的人物都是布满伤疤的，将镜头对准他们的时候就将是他们用得到的伤害去做同等的反击，完成自我的救赎
7.5 导演拯救剧本。并非如通常般着重展现赌牌、监狱、报仇这样充满“男子气概”重头戏，转而聚焦情感的流动表达。
