The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 老爷子真硬，很温暖，很安静。突然想起自己很久之前“一直在路上”的梦想。
本该是他最擅长的西部公路片，但节奏很缓慢，并不出彩。东木老爷子的确是老了，老到驯服野马只能使用远景替身+本人上身近景的方式呈现，就连说台词和走路都有一种无力感。

老爷子的电影看着就是舒服，可惜男孩的演技太差了，严重拖后腿
老少配公路片就是我的雷点，即使是东木，也是暮气沉沉，毫无生意。
因为Paul Schrader骂战去看了，站Schrader。陈腔烂调。东木老爷可能是该退休了
勉强三星。91岁的东木依然高产，状态还行，但毕竟岁数摆在那儿，又导又演显然还是吃力的。
猛男鸡反转那段处理的有点过于魔幻。老牛仔的戏有两点独特魅力，一个是慢一拍的反应，戏剧节奏拿的很稳，二是丰厚的经历，应对时处变不惊的态度
暮年的东木，创作力依然旺盛。虽也看得出有些力不从心，即便弯腰屡背，内心永远是那个牛仔
这一路看老爷子下来见证了他老去的过程——一点点和自己和解，和世界和解，和人生和解，锐气终化为了柔和。他说「我不知道怎么治愈老」，尚存的一丝哀叹也只有童话得以抚慰了。
老爷子演技不错 剧情节奏太拖沓了 不如预期的好看
啊？从什么时候开始，在东木的电影里，“男子汉”气概这三个字，是用嘴说出来的啊？？ 全程萎靡颓废
只要他还有新作，我们就不能倒。仰拍老牛仔爬坡的靴子太过分，要哭了。

电影本身两星都够呛，但是还能看到老东木，就不敢再做奢求。
片子非常一般，但是东木主演的电影已经形成一个特定人物和他的故事，我愿意像追连续剧一样一直看下去。
