The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 无论是人物还是故事都很单薄。两位男性角色完全是为了衬托女主而存在。墨西哥裔花匠死的毫无作用。女主咋就能突然黑化连杀两人。特别不能说服人
焦俊艳1星。（焦俊艳角色负4星。焦俊艳在我心中满星。）幻想概念一星。 无厘头 喜剧 幻想 焦俊艳 对心理学的抹黑反感 焦俊艳你可以接点符合你形象的片吗？爱的我心好累。 片尾：幻想是一件浪漫的事。很赞同。剧中的狗和花可以get到，其他也是大可不必。 看的过程中。感觉有点像是周星驰的喜剧风格，但是没有知识做架构和背景的片，真的反感。国产片好多这种yy。
改编自漫画，结合了中国古典的神话故事，想法很有新意，值得鼓励。张爱玲在写作的时候，喜欢将实物用拟人的手法来做比喻，而本片直接赋予了实物灵魂，对话编排的很棒，笑点颇多。9分送给原作者，希望中国有想法的原创编剧越来越多。
其实这个设定很有意思，只是故事差点，最重要的是，林狗真的演了回狗……
虽然有些高开低走，差点味道，但是为了幻想是一种浪漫的能力这个idea，还是给个三颗星吧。如果再戏谑些，再多点隐含的深意就更好了，这种喜剧的直球有点拉胯了～突然明白周星驰的喜剧为什么是经典了。
这种特意能力也是很6，做个好编剧吧。
越来越感觉看Netflix的网大没意思了，根本出不了新活。角色行为的逻辑铺垫很差。

可能是先入为主还是怎样，挺喜欢王大爷的综艺表现的，所以想看看。开始就很莫名其妙，剧情也没怎么理顺，后来想可能是无厘头，但是笑点真的没怎么get到，一直还期待一些反转，直到包贝尔出现，半个多小时了，就真的很神了。看来没什么希望了，只能溜了溜了。
电影里的猫猫狗狗都渴望脱单，大黄还贼努力，突然也好想有个对象啊
相较于电影本身，唯一的安慰便是映后的采访提问环节焦俊艳和王彦霖这对“沥川”姐弟还是十分欢乐的～
三个人聊了一个半小时，片名又叫，《屋子里的谈论着》
一直觉得有杰西普莱蒙aka低配马特达蒙的影视作品都不会太难看，直到看到了这部，跟之前看到的一部扎克埃夫隆演的《掘金》一样，就是一部剧情简单得令人发指的无诚意之作，还不如拍成一部几分钟的短片。
要是不总是莫名其妙，好好写剧本好好拍，这个创意还挺好的
总的来说，这部片子是近年来中国轻喜剧的缩影，为梗而梗，故事点有，但是就是说不好。喜剧片其实比故事片更难出彩。
