3.5星，前半部分故事有多引人入胜，结尾就有多庸俗潦草
人的救赎是从什么时候开始的？是定罪的那一刻还是被社会重新接受的那一刻？
节奏还行，闪回叙事。情绪到位，无声胜有声。
不断闪回的记忆揭开历史真相，然而并没有太多惊喜。肃杀压抑氛围的塑造类《东城梦魇》。比起讲好故事，更多情节为了人物而生，毫无疑问女主贡献了极为精彩的演技，大有奔奖而去的野心。
一代影后桑德拉今年57岁了，饰演五龄童的姐姐露丝，并没给人不适感。为了守卫家园，五岁的妹妹开枪打死了警官，露丝为妹妹扛下了一切，定罪的过程没有交代，从刑律的角度看，显然没这么简单，你认了就一定是你？但这似乎可以忽略。露丝入狱服刑20年，假释出狱后艰难地重新开始，她受尽屈辱，唯一支撑她继续生活下去的动力是寻找妹妹。她付出了一生，只为得到亲人的一个无言的拥抱。很感人。
没办法错过演技爆裂的Sandar Bullock，题材的话现实又残酷。
