The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 两颗星的基础上给山田老爷子对电影的执着与个人情感的坚持加一星，故事本身透露着很多过时甚至守旧的无奈与自我，不过导演本身想外放的情感还是值得期待，毕竟看一部少一部了。
寺岛忍老的有点认不出了，泽田研二更是只在片尾字幕上能认出来，北川造型很有那个味儿，电影从情节到演技都有些过时感了
突然想到，本片作为松竹百年纪念，山田洋次片中想要对抗的陈腐的电影制度不就是松竹自己么……

去年北影节最后一天的收官之作.前后穿插的叙事跨越了几十年.每次场景转换不禁唏嘘时光在人身上留下的痕迹.对影迷来说在电影院看电影到死真的也是圆满了.
老爷子生动，苏打正常发挥。故事老套又感人。
知道会是一些俗气的桥段，但还是忍不住泪目了。电影真好哇，比现实好。
最后居然看哭了。时代的结束多么落寞。（世界上没有比咩酱更可爱的女孩子了吧）

“拍电影的人都不太正经。”
“拍电影的都是烂人”“每一个镜头都是有神灵的，”一个愿意死在电影院的人对于自己职业的爱恨交加，也是一个致死热爱电影人的表达。
犹豫再三，三星或四星，直到最后半小时的剧情帮助定位。客观上说，尽管镜头&节奏非常舒适，戏中戏也出彩，仍然算不上拍得好，我想最大的问题在于故事整体内核陷入某种疫情下电影从业者的自怨自艾和理想主义。另外，得奖剧本几乎等同于1985年伍迪艾伦《开罗紫玫瑰》。
