The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 有如此心胸豁达又专一且高颜值的男主只有在玛丽苏剧里才有吧，迈克尔，你是来普度众生的。蹭个淘金热历史背景拔高了深度，其实没半点关系。给配乐点赞，奥斯汀系列也能用。
电影拍摄得非常唯美，即使是在最悲惨的境遇下，画面依旧是美的。但是从剧情上来说，立意略显单薄，淘金热这一时代背景有很多可以刻画的内容，却被粗粗带过。
和Don't Look Up前后脚观看，有种诡异的超现实感，但是剪辑的新闻片段又在提醒着这是真切的发生过的事件/这奇妙的世界/不知道Netflix如何总结即将到来的2022年，我只有一个愿望：新冠去死！
笑死，去年也没想到这都能做成一个系列，年年fuck off，下一年继续玩蛋，混完一年是一年。
或傻得可爱，或蠢得可恶，戏谑中反讽，回顾并诘问。
