The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 对整个剧本的前三分之二没什么意见，包括小人第一次帮助差生改成集体作弊，属于欲扬先抑后面定有博士因材施教，证明成绩差不代表孩子差（差生通过考试打唯成绩论的脸才是这个故事的的高潮和根本立意），结果水尿光汤几个镜头也不交待考试咋样一场大火人间有大爱就结束了？差生之歌都不唱算什么狗屁改编
太好看了，中国从不缺好的故事，缺的是像这部能把郑渊洁好看的故事拍成电影也好看的能力

味儿不对，八十年代的生活没有这么精致，并且真人版罐头小人实在太丑了吧，不如直接用动画呈现。
教育法律医学，三大信息不对等造成的垄断，本剧里的教育演绎占在模板顶峰哇。
上座率不高，不过仅有的几个小朋友看的很开心，跟着笑，遇到刺激有吸气声。
本想给一星，实在是觉得没意思。可能是长大了，再也不相信郑渊洁的童话了。
比预想的要好，小演员们都还演技在线。至于剧情，想想这么多年过去了，中国的教育现状似乎还是停留在郑老师的设定范围内（甚至还有所不如），不得不惊叹于作者的脑洞。PS：有没人觉得上尉的演员很像李晨的？

作为一个大人看的一脸尴尬 🙄 ，这不是童话书啊，这是强制规训营哇。
粗糙却蛮有意思的电影，一开始我看到作弊也真的不适，然后弹幕飘过了一句话，大人看他们在作弊，但对孩子和罐头小人来说是在合作打一场艰难战役，一场不正派却反抗不合理规定的战役，何况他们也为此付出了代价，且之后找到了学习的乐趣，不再作弊，所以说“教坏”这种评论大可不必。整部电影还是比较轻松的吧，笑点自然，小同学们关系转变也自然，也有扎心的地方，鲁西西问的那句“如果我学习成绩不好，那你们还会喜欢我吗？”“不喜欢，没有人会喜欢成绩不好的孩子”

笑声和眼泪齐飞，暗黑共“正能量”一色。
小时候没怎么看过皮皮鲁，只是有所耳闻，但真的觉得电影呈现挺好的。很轻松可爱又惊险刺激，大家都在慢慢成长，虽然是比较套路的内容，但不妨碍被感动，童话就是治愈的。
本来只是为情怀买单，结果被小演员们的演技和改编故事的完成度惊喜到！bug肯定有，结尾略草率，给小朋友的话够看啦。
真挺好看的哈哈哈哈哈。唯独觉得哈，这是写给我们90后80后的故事，跟现在的教育体制不太一样了。
就算是改编的电影，也能感受到当时小说里的温馨
本来很期待，一部上7分的儿童片，还是不容易。但最后发现说教味道太重，现在再不好好学习，以后实现阶级跨越就越来越难，毒鸡汤。
