The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 打斗戏已经很神，不过比起之前印象中离谱的动作戏已经算是收敛一些了，虽然还是有点扯淡，但是却绝对的爽快。最吸引人的还是对于友情和家国仇恨的刻画，这让影片有着独特的精神内核，这就是正义的爽。

以纳粹德国侵占捷克苏台德地区这个历史真实事件为背景，虚构了两名英德牛津同窗好友斡旋其中，试图警告英国并揭发希特勒野心…英法对纳粹德国的绥靖政策一直被后世诟病，被认为是鼓励希特勒进行更危险的尝试，本片试图从另一个角度为时任英国首相张伯伦辩护---希特勒的野心早被看破，绥靖是为了换取准备时间，而有随后的胜利---实难苟同。熟知一战的残酷历史不难理解彼时英国国内对再次欧战的恐惧和抗拒，但绝不能说张伯伦的绥靖是为了换去时间，就算希特勒当时也不知道底线到底在哪而步步为营。抛去这个“平反”的论调，这部电影可谓几无瑕疵。从节奏到结构，从服饰到道具，从音乐到摄影都极具水准，近年少见的高水平作品。只是希特勒的选型有失水准，扣半星。
