The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 个人是非常喜欢导演自传作品的，《罗马》《痛苦与荣耀》和《上帝之手》可以对比着看，跟费里尼比还是想多了。。
神神叨叨，吵吵闹闹，疯疯癫癫。
翻来覆去就是男孩青春期的那些事：从家庭关系中理解爱，从熟悉的女性中性启蒙，从追逐的偶像中理解梦想，就这些内容，看得人发困。

关于私人影像和记忆，索伦蒂诺拍出来平淡且缺乏共鸣。
前半段幽默家庭喜剧，后半段成长人生的烦恼。更多像是导演写给Naples的一封信。真的要去意大利走走。

导演有话说，“你他妈的逃避到最后，还是会回归自我，回归失败，一切都是失败，都是一堆屎，没人能逃脱自己的失败，没人能逃出这座城市……你知道这座城市里有多少故事吗？只有混蛋才会逃去罗马。你有话要说了吗？有故事要讲吗？拿出勇气！”
这么幽默又相爱的父母，就这么没了，真让人伤心，拍电影确实需要很大的勇气。

我同一个香烟走私犯成为朋友，他带我跳舞的时候告诉了我近海船只航行时的声音；我偶遇了一位知名导演，只看过三四部电影的我在向他求教问题时被告知要发现那不勒斯的故事；我的邻居陪伴我鼓励我“展望未来”，而我在那不勒斯队获得意甲联赛冠军的那一天选择了离开。
索伦蒂诺只让镜头缓慢移动

一部让人想到很多经典电影的影片，很多让人难忘的细节与镜头，有些杂乱、随意、无序，但印象深刻。像小姨的裸体和笑容、老太太的诱惑、小修士的神秘等等。影片的导演风格非常鲜明，演员的表演也相当自然，毫不扭捏做作，意大利的风景色彩也十分鲜明、美丽、有味。有时觉得，用一部电影描写少年的成长远远不够。
众人的脸庞，身边的故事，夏日的城市……
