The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 剧情稀烂，人和狗都还不错。居然在影片里吐槽《实习医生格蕾》，看来这剧实火，也够抓马。
没看过原作单说本片，这是一个好但还不够好的剧本，只属于杰哈的独角戏，他的确很好地完成了任务，但首先是加入了一些不必要的枝节，比如男主哮喘有什么意义吗？他一定得这么焦虑吗？这就引出了藉由人物的焦虑情绪来塑造氛围并不成功，只有男主的表演在紧张而影片的其余全部都不紧张。结尾也太满了，没有任何空间，影片的整体气质比较像一部三流的美剧。
PTSD，哪有那么容易治愈呢，战争的创伤，人狗都是一样的，当初看预告片，还以为是喜剧片，其实是一部故事片，搞笑的成份并不多。不管怎样，生活总要继续下去的，无论多大的创伤，首先要学会接纳，然后要去寻得支持，愿这世上每个人，都能获得救赎吧。

加了不少泄劲的琐碎，而且结尾大改——不仅“阖家团圆”，告解救赎画蛇添足，可能顾忌美国反暴力执法的情绪。

因为狗狗片就带上了孩子一起看，却是一部创伤后遗症的大兵历程，狗狗戏份不多但是总体不错。

氛围营造的很不错，尤其在深夜看这电影更适合，女主和反派变态杀手男演技在线，虽然故事并不复杂，导演运用镜头音效等营造的惊悚感却很出色，整部影片可以给8分，豆瓣评分给低了
