The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 很久没有看过这么一部纯粹的动物动画电影了，虽然大狗的造型有点粗糙，但是剧中除了绝对的反派外，其余每个人都很善良，果然是童话改编的，看完非常治愈。每个人都是独特的，我们不能因为某一个人某种“不合群”就看不起他，欺负他。小孩子都懂的道理，成人怎么会不明白呢？因为一个小女孩，一只大狗，温暖了一个城市。就是不知道有了大狗狗，以后这个城市的草地上还会不会有翻滚球这个体育运动呢？哈哈，总觉得这个项目像人形仓鼠球。

大红狗的概念并没有做出特点，剧作属于上个世纪的文本，完全没有新意，也许小孩子看会更喜欢一些吧。

以及李现的演技在雷佳音的对比下有点不能看。
故事套路、人设和拍法都感觉有点古早，中规中矩吧没有想象的出彩～

这种片子，适合跟孩子一起看。如果换个结局，可以变成弱化版的《猩球崛起》
