The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 好棒好好看啊，很愉悦也很动人，and this movie makes so fucking sad….

影片是历史真实事件改编，虽说是冒险题材，但中心并没有放在荒野求生，冰原探险上面，甚至没有宏大的风景与特效加持。重点则放在了人物内心刻画与背负艰巨使命的执着感。
虽然故事真的好俗套，演员之间也缺少火花且过于做作，但其中某些内容却也很真实，比如对圈内鄙视链、男二对于个人感情的困惑，一些喜剧元素也自然有趣，编剧不愧是脱口秀演员，不要抱太高期待，当成一部小妞爽片看就会很愉快。
拖拉，不太能接受。。吐槽就真的只是吐槽，不如拍两姐妹（男主们）的waiters往事呢
难得的一部不那么伤感的同性影片，看完嘴角不自觉上扬。
看到最后才发现是傲慢与偏见的变体 除了will很迷人之外 没有其他深刻的印象了

Fire Island作为Gay Men Cruise Culture的一个文化符号，最有名的文本莫过于Tom Bianchi的《Fire Island Pines》.前HIV时代的火烧岛既是GayMen的同类避难所，也是性解放运动的发生之地.后同志时代的喜剧中的融入了古老的Jane Austin式的PNP叙事范式，不再在纠结认同政治，转向附近性的探索与群体链接. 总是来说，故事俗辣却很适合打发时间.如今的脆弱状态也看不了太苦大仇深的东西.
