The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 众所周知，科恩是黑泽明粉丝，黑泽明是莎翁粉丝。所以这部电影是不是透过的布层有点多了，反而费劲。

1:1，纯黑白，影帝影后，莎士比亚…比起电影更像是一场两小时的舞台剧，只不过呈现方式是大导演的视角…
Expressionist set. Unsettling witch. New character Ross as the third murderer.
极致形式感，视觉控的享受，摄影彰显魔力，浓浓的奥逊威尔斯味儿，表现主义手法去拍古典戏剧，悲悯苍凉，戏剧台词可以汇成诗篇。（另外女巫没提奥斯卡女配真悲哀）
戏剧冲突很强，不拖沓，没想象中枯燥，而且在人物动机上有很好的铺垫，有些电影喜欢用话剧的对白和真实的场景结合，但是很突兀，这部用近乎舞台的简单场景却让话剧的对白能融入其中，有舞台剧的感觉又有电影镜头的考究，蛮好看的。

肃杀凛冽的氛围感，极简主义的舞台布置，科恩四比三画幅的颠覆性尝试被过亮的画面大煞风景，本身依赖剧本的他失去了原创力的黑色幽默，又几乎照本宣科地改编剧本，注定原本莎翁独到的戏剧性变得寡淡无味也拖沓无力，闭上双眼仿佛多台复读机同频共振或磁带里毫无感情的课文朗诵。
7/10 主要优点是光影布景摄影。不知道奥斯卡会不会恢复最佳黑白摄影
这个黑白对路，和极简背景相得益彰。台词，表演，人像特写都是教科书级别的。
一言难尽，但作为麦克白电影演绎的比法鲨那版好。

舞台设计和摄影都太绝了，截了不知道多少图。但唯一不解的是，科恩兄大量启用黑人演员的意图在哪里？仅仅是为了正确吗？
预言的种子埋在心里，等到发芽，结果，再凋落，重新再来一遍，一遍遍的循环往复，既是自证预言，又是悲剧重演。高级的对话，高级的影像风格，不愧是A24出品的，就是与众不同，很多场景都让人过目不忘，真高级。
对我来说只是科普了一下世界文学。 摄影美学，光影，都一流。
