末日公路片，只有在误闯医院被追逐和回忆母女被射杀这两段有体现出末日里人性的凶残，其余时候都是温情脉脉的，温情到没感受到多少末日气息。
汉克斯最套路的那类角色，几乎完美无瑕的美式英雄，故事的呈现也比简介还要来的没创意。

故事中规中矩没有什么亮点，主角那种遗世之风简直社恐，人类交棒给机器人的隐喻也很明显。亮点是汤姆汉克斯的影帝级表演还是百尺竿头更上了一步，令人叹为观止
