The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 刻意弄成全年龄可观赏，结果就是完全没有剧团日渐衰落的共鸣，压根看不出北野的生存环境。
专心致志讲师徒，几乎是切断北野武身上其余一切身份，断绝更深挖掘角度的可能。但即使是如此朴素地叙述，还是处理得绘声绘色，完全没有预想中传记片古板老旧的匠气。
从不怎么样到有所不同…反正功成名就的传记故事，长得都差不多吧…起点和终点…无非是过程中经历过不同的人，遇到过不同的事，最后迎来一个什么样的结果。
柳乐优弥真是人才啊。故事也挺好。没想到漫才是这么一步步起来的。
是因为netflix投资的关系吗，片子长得像一个好莱坞片，不像部日本电影
对这种电影真是没有抵抗力，对深见千三郎和北野武师徒情谊的描绘含蓄而有力量。“谐星不要被人笑，要逗人笑”，“不要讨好观众，要告诉观众什么是有趣的”，这些云淡风轻地说出的话，值得铭记在心。
还原得很不错，漫才也是选的老头的经典段子，不能接受当年的莉香变成如今的麻里的凄惨结局，后半部分赚足了眼泪
天才们成为天才的路上，总会幸运的遇到几个保护他们的人。

结尾实在拉胯，本来这部电影的优点就是没有把叙述重点只放在北野武身上，而是讲了师徒的感情、喜剧剧场的衰落以及一条动人的爱情线，但是结尾完全落在了北野武个人对于曾经的感怀上，整个电影都显得老气横秋了；另外这部电影的声音还挺不错的，声音带动剪辑给电影增添了很强的韵律感；btw，柳乐弥优好帅啊，越看越喜欢
日本，2021。最后20分钟重磅催泪弹，真实性加强了深度，厚度和美感，超越一切虚假叙事。北野武的个人经历，和声望，让此部电影拥有无比震撼的力量，在浅草的脱衣舞和演绎剧场，依旧拥有野花般自然生长的动人的师徒情
影帝演得很卖力啊，再一次看到我们铃木保奈美很开心（戏份还挺多的）传记片轻松有趣，原来北野武洒脱痞子的性格不是一蹴而就的啊！
有些生硬的部分，比如师傅对浅草剧场的执着，观众取向变化却不愿求变，比起自己被时代抛弃更像只是什么都不去做罢了。阿武从出道到走红的路径有点美式脱口秀的意思，冒犯观众，百无禁忌。电影的质感却是很好，浅尝辄止的感情描写，用情人旅馆转动的圆床和踢踏舞步串起的一段段故事。

看过《火花》之后再看这部，尽管没看过原著，但依然对日本短剧/漫才的师徒之情感触颇深。原本以为一般，但可能日本喜剧人题材本身就很戳我，所以还是被感动到了，好温馨。师傅的那句话为什么感觉我看的跟大家的翻译不太一样：“在我这里演戏，可不要被人笑，而是要逗人笑。”桑田佳佑的片尾曲也很好听！片尾动画也很棒。就是特效妆真的有些出戏了。等着明天网飞上《短剧开始啦》，延续这种情绪。
大师的话说的很对啊，不要扮丑被人笑，要靠技艺逗人笑。
北野武传记片，光彩都在深见身上，前段的交叉剪辑虽然多但很有力度。老年北野武的妆容也太丑了吧！三星半
她因为他的才气傲骨而爱的死心塌地，他因为爱的死心塌地而舍弃才气傲骨，爱情既可以是毒药也可以是解药，中间是这个叫生活的操蛋杠杆；看来国内外舞台人都经历过只有一个观众的“厕所难题”，这是群苦中作乐的天使啊，我依旧觉得喜剧人真的是个高危职业…话说老郭估计很感慨，一个角色中既能看到自己又能看到儿徒，但人家裂穴的徒弟混成大师拍了部电影缅怀老师，而他和曹金留下的只有一地狗血
大泉洋作为一个喜剧演员要拿到戏份这么重的一个角色还挺不容易的…但就表现来说柳乐优弥好歹是拿过戛纳影帝的，差距还是比较明显。
这是一部记述年轻的北野武成名路上的故事，这故事里有恩师深见千三郎，有心底喜欢的千春，有共同打闹奋斗的师兄弟们……有了他/她们，才有了后来的北野武。也许，人生就是这样，让我们带着遗憾向前走。
