The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 爱与共情，可赞的人类。像这样优秀的音乐剧可以多来点。
除此之外，剧本本身对911事件给美国社会心理带来的各方面影响的刻画也是相对比较到位的。
可能这是我注定无法欣赏的一部音乐剧了，群像太多太杂随意转换，一直处在一种情绪很饱满激动的状态中。第二次坚持看到1/2又失败了… 唉，可能是我不懂欣赏吧。
恻隐之心 人之常情
2001至2021，世界变了又好像没变。先不说这样的美式主旋律正能量和国内作品的立意高下问题，100分钟的舞台演绎中，完全打破了传统音乐剧的情节和幕次、空间与场景、台词与唱段的界限，让技术完全为艺术表达服务，就很赞！
之前看盗摄版从头哭到尾 今天再看官摄反而有点看不进去了（虽然曲子一响还是会哭）可能对我来说是一次性用的煽情片子…
真的很棒 一组人 一个场景 分饰多角 那种困境中的互助 爱和信任都是那么慷慨。结尾那么动容的Be an inlander，做个这样的岛民，才能让我们都不变成孤岛。那是20年前 今天一切变好了吗？屏幕上有多被感染 屏幕下就有多沮丧 失落与绝望。
