The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 剧情走的是王子复仇记，本来看的是异常平淡，不过当中出现了一个转折，虽然称不上神转折吧，但也算是有了点新意。虽然转折过后，又是按照王子复仇记的路数就这么下去了。

说是哈姆雷特的原型，放在中世纪欧洲的奴隶制环境里，如此野蛮不堪。妮可戏不多，有点奇葩，安雅的声音这么年轻，跟后翼弃兵完全不同。
这追求历史感的“布景”，不靠演员的脸真的就找不见画面了，宗教意味就像戏剧质感一样强烈，明明没什么故事情节的150分钟，不会觉得冗长，去年那部《麦克白》是以极简方式趋近原著，这部就是以繁复的肉感重写原著。王子的复仇也是命运的一部分，是神的旨意下的命运大转盘中的一个齿轮，从这个呈现面上说电影是比参照的原著，在内核体现上要丰厚
中世纪味道基本靠脏。不难看也不好看，就是…看着挺花钱的。
