The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication.     SB的演技再好（加一星），也扛不住剧情基本设定的问题。SB真人比她妹妹大30年。就算剧情以中年设定，40多岁，坐牢时也20多。5岁女孩误杀应该是不需付法律责任的。而她做为监护人，考虑当时的情景，最多也就几年。完全没有必要去顶罪，然后妹妹被领养，却又一直不甘心。描述狱后重生困境和黑人偏见也（加一星），不能更多了。
