完全摆脱掉了中国式青春片中的所有诟病，几乎没有狗血与无语，除了最后歌舞有点点尬，其他简直就是你我的青春。
跟原作相比则是更符合现实语境，更有现实意义。用花样游泳这项运动，直指社会对男性的固化成见。描写的几个少年，经历背景和各自所面临的困境都很现实很“中国”，从中国式困境中走出来，因为这项特殊的运动结缘，在最好的年纪里为同一目标共同努力共同成长。在这个过程中探寻“成为什么样的大人”的命题。多么青春！
