The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 氛围营造的不错，故事的切入点和深刻性不错，但是各种回忆尤其是开头，还没进入正题的时候，显得混乱，各种阴暗叙事、穿插，让不习惯这种风格的人看的很难受，床戏全部剪掉不是问题。以及故事还是有比较明显的漏洞
一场劫机事件背后的爱情故事。N场床戏，挨个排查泄密人员过程，在饭桌、办公桌和床榻转换之间，爱恨情仇，前因后果，旧伤新恨一一细数。50岁坦迪和42岁克里斯的年轻面容还原得较好。5
一部反恐间谍片，却演绎成一部爱情片。中情局办公室的恋爱故事，确实刻骨铭心，一百多人的生命则为他们的爱情殉葬。故事的框架还是挺有吸引力的：中情局重启八年前劫机事件失败营救的调查，以追查其中的内鬼。但导演拍得懒洋洋有气无力，有悬念却无张力，又过多渲染爱情戏份，让故事难以聚焦。
其实故事写得蛮好的，反转也挺自然的……男女主演技很好。面对这种结尾，只能说：一声叹息。。。
一开始电影名叫《宝刀未老》谁的宝刀？还未老？派派最近一部我喜欢的电影是《赴汤蹈火》现在简直就是在混脸熟。事实上，这部片子就是一群脸熟的人坐着打嘴炮说（真是在说）完了一个故事。
一个为了最爱抛弃了世界，一个为了最爱选择了逃离。
这顿劲费的，这不耍人玩呢么……以为是间谍片，结果是追溯旧情，太多此一举了
特工为了救女友同事的生命，透露情报，没料到后果严重，机组乘客全部死亡。两人误会多年，最终审判还是来了。本来是惊险刺激加悲剧的，不停闪回的剪辑，慢悠悠的推进，把气氛搞乱了。坦迪苦瓜脸，已经老了。

格局很小的故事，全靠剪辑来回跳跃保持悬念。
开头有些甜 又让我想回到了北京 终究还是因为在北京快乐啊
故事逻辑没什么支撑，一部披着悬疑外衣的爱情片

不明白为啥叫宝刀未老…可怜了男主一片痴情为情人做的事！
太多多余的flashbacks，摄影又很无趣。故事挺不错的，但很遗憾没拍好。
莫非是桑迪纽顿睡克里斯派恩，所以说她“宝刀未老”？
气氛搞的还行，但情节不行，漏洞太多，前面看着还有点勒卡雷的影子，后面变成琼瑶的调子了
