{★★★} Will Smith凭借一个爹味角色与颁奖礼上的爹味行为获得奥斯卡殊荣，学院嘉奖的到底是哪一个爹？看完这部电影后我明白了：是戏外的爹。且不说Fences就剖击过相似的黑人爹，对中国人来说他显然不会是什么陌生人物--短评区遍地哀嚎的鸡娃PTSD就是证据。但随着年龄增长，我越来越能理解这些父亲，一个没什么选择的年代教会了他们剥夺孩子的选择，但这不代表我认可他们的行为。就像历史证明Richard Williams的教育是奏效的，不代表那是正确的。
结尾处理的比《摔跤吧》高级，出淤泥而不染和名利双收本就是矛盾体。
和一般的体育片不同的风格，加入了家庭教育的元素，使得整个片子都充满了爱意。
像滨口龙介那样开始（ Drive My Car的手语🤚），像李沧东那样结束（Peppermint Candy的小白花❀）。
极其平淡地讲述了理查德如何训练大小威成为网球巨星的“虎爸”故事但却算不上上层。体育故事里面缺少了应该有的激情和紧张，育儿经方面又变成了简单的爽片缺少了对“虎爸”更为深层的探讨，家庭情景里面又夹杂了太多的宣言性对白，显得略微寡淡。极其优秀的题材和故事，但是呈现出来的效果却异常平庸，缺少了应有的作者视角或者更为创新的角度引起跟多的思考也丢失了威廉姆斯这个角色本应该有的复杂性......
AMC Hoffman Center | 同场的几乎都是黑人，威尔史密斯演的真好，大小威之间的sisterhood真的让人羡慕，最喜欢的是母亲在厨房的那段戏：如果不是两个女儿我早走了！（大概是这样。可见两姐妹的父亲有多爹味。
20211205-cinemark theater-扎实的起承转合，无功无过，也许是因为真实改编，所以颇为动人。在废墟里看星星——每当看到这样的场景就想起《平凡的世界》里在废墟读书的孙少平，《女心理师》在堕落环境里寻求改变读书的贺顿，是这些信念成就了这些人，环境也无法毁灭这些信念。
刚好女儿有天赋刚好女儿又愿意……
人物写得好，选择这个父亲为切入点很讨巧，但不得不承认是正确的。
父母的良苦用心你要很久以后才懂，但是压迫可是及时就有反应的。
或许这就是一个深爱五个女儿的父亲，被生活所迫，生活在贫民窟中，需要拥有的样子吧。他值得多一些体谅。
比赛确实很激动人心，但是爹的形象还是让人恶心

《独自在夜晚的海边》和《克莱尔的相机》之后我就彻底放弃了洪尚秀，没想到这部里学会了幽默和自我嘲讽。算是跟他暂时和解吧。
平铺直叙的简直比纪录片还白开水，明明是很振奋的故事不知道为啥拍的不是很振奋……
