The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 绚丽的霓虹灯光和金曲串烧把观众瞬间带回到了如梦似幻的60年代，然而看似美好的过往年代实际暗藏杀机，导演用华丽的镜像电影语言渲染出时空穿插的迷幻气氛，各种精妙设计放大了感官层面的刺激，少女缠绕去世母亲的心头阴影被放置到60年代的显微镜里观察剖析，随着角色去感受恐惧和压迫，却过度依赖于剪辑让天马行空的创意娇柔造作起来，高潮的反转匹配不上迷幻的设定，终究演变为由光影符号构建成的复古仪式。
Sandie的迷人保证了故事最后一丝可信度和情感重量。

视听真不错，全程不同歌曲作为背景音乐，各种场景镜头转换无缝衔接，感同身受的经历60年代女主的故事。对称镜子让两个场景重叠，惊悚感很好，特别是睁眼到现实后，一转折原来还没脱离梦境。最后结尾有反转，但略无味。

复古元素很赞，整个画面和服化道都很有质感，结局也被惊艳到，唯一不喜欢的就是女主的人设。
