The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 简单甚至有点儿俗套的故事，但故事的细节和演员的表演细腻又准确。人生最难的是离别，更难的是生离死别！
最后一幕有些感动，但还是觉得一个人的所有记忆和经历都只属于自己，应该都随着自己离去。
科幻片要讨论伦理问题是很正常的，也可以说理所应当深入到人伦的深处去。但有一个前提，就是这事有可能发生，这个有可能构建于理性可以理解的范围。类似这种我嫉妒我的架构就难有说服力，无限接近但依然不接近才是正确的打开方式。
