The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 台词看似字字珠玑实则含义空洞，流于表象夸夸其谈，看后没有经典人权，庭审，政治片值得回味。这题材赶在今夏美国暴乱之际可以加分
庭审过程中嬉皮士的机智比起精英学生毫不逊色 甚至像吃了可爱多
精彩绝伦。我站起来为他们鼓掌，也为这部电影鼓掌，久久地。
作为庭审片，主要矛盾冲突不是来自检方和辩方，而且法官和辩方自身内部的冲突。开篇用了简练的手法，快速过镜每个人都是和平手段而去，以及闪过的新闻，都在表明导演给出的答案，而黑人的用处，无非是表现法官的歧视与不公，除了一次探监外，几乎没人任何法院以外的镜头。即使给出了是以政治目的审判，但并没有表现出检方任何压迫和针锋相对，而是法官的不公，一个不公正的判决，无异于污染了水源，大概导演想表达的，也就是法官是当下的美国。但是相反的，对辩方的反应以及两次闪回的镜头，却让我并没有感觉出他们没有一点的无罪。七君子，不过是两三个人的戏。
在这个时间点很难有什么东西让我对美国的未来重拾信心, 这部电影做到了.
