Whenever I see La Paura I think of it as a companion piece to Eyes Wide Shut, or maybe it is the other way around. Adultery makes both films tick but in different ways. I think Phillip French was right on the money when he pointed out a Wizard of Oz thing in Kubrick's last work. Like Dorothy, Tom and Nicole go through fantasies and nightmares and at the end Dorothy's reassuring childish motto "there's no place like home" is ironically updated to the adult circumstantial adage "there's no sex like marital sex". Kubrick's take is intellectual, he never leaves the world of ideas to touch the ground. He taunts the audience first with an erotic movie and then with a thriller and refuses to deliver either of them. He was married to his third wife for 40 years, until he died. Rossellini was still married to Ingrid Bergman when he directed La Paura; they had been adulterous lovers and their infidelity widely criticized La Paura is a tale, a noirish one. The noir intrigue is solved and the tale has a happy ending. The city is noir; the country is tale, the territory where childhood is possible. The transition is operated in the most regular way: by car, a long-held shot taken from the front of the car as it rides into the road, as if we were entering a different dimension. Irene (Bergman) starts the movie: we just see a dark city landscape but her voice-over narration tells us of her angst and informs us that the story is a flashback, hers. Bergman's been cheating on her husband. At first guilt is just psychological torture but soon expands into economic blackmail and then grows into something else. From beginning to end the movie focuses on what Bergman feels, every other character is there to make her feel something. Only when the director gives away the plot before the main character can find out does he want us to feel something Bergman still can't. When she finds out, we have already experienced the warped mechanics of the situation and we may focus once again on the emotional impact it has on Bergman's Irene. In La Paura treasons are not imagined but real, nightmares are deliberate and the couple's venom suppurates in bitter ways. Needless to say, Ingrid has another of her rough rides in the movies but Rossellini doesn't dare put her away as he did in Europa 51, nor does he abandon her to the inscrutable impassivity of nature (Stromboli). His gift is less transcendent and fragile than the conclusion of Viaggio in Italia. He just gives his wife as much of a fairy tale ending as a real woman can have, a human landscape where she can finally feel at home. Back to the country, a half lit interior scene where shadows suggest the comfort of sleep. After all, it's the "fairy godmother" who speaks the last words in the movie.
好喜欢Daisy的文艺脸，连恐怖片都变得小清新了起来。而本片确实没什么血腥镜头，更多的是想象力带来的不适感。说实话通过前半部分不是很能猜到会走复仇路线。

迪士尼旗下hulu的电影，说她们“就是迪士尼电影看多了，对爱情有很多不切实际的幻想”⋯⋯《分裂》+《逃出》+《准备好了没》。一度生理不适，直到他被咬掉下体，大快人心。（最后一秒，围巾男短信来吃回头草）
从一个high concept到这个剧本转化得好有活力！看好导演与编剧。

各种降智行为，以及铺垫不足动机不足的转折，拿钉枪人敢追着拿枪的人打，警察出警绑架杀人案只出一个人，看这部电影约等于被喂💩

关于dating的吐槽还挺有意思的，感觉是想拍一个类似Get Out那种隐喻式的恐怖片，但是镜头语言还是弱了一点，如果恐怖气氛能再强烈一点就好了。
女主是真的没有智商，看得好生气啊！反派也没什么脑子，以为黑人大叔是个狠角色结果最先死，来个警察送人头，剧情确实够反转够奇葩的。

诺亚不停在相亲APP上找真爱，没想到超市遇到了帅哥史蒂夫并迅速相爱。她接受史蒂夫邀请去林中小屋度假，刚进屋就被囚禁了起来。
还算流畅吧，作为小成本惊悚片完成度尚可，但说不上精彩，几次反转都并没有太大惊喜。有人说是低配版《八恶人》，挺有道理，虽然《八恶人》的具体情节已经记不清了，但印象中比这个要暗黑和有意思得多。
没有拍的很恶心，还挺文艺，女主很美将计就计，闺蜜也很给力，那个酒吧男人不行。。
前面只是普通惊悚片，结尾女主闺蜜拿着铁锹一下下打倒史蒂夫的妻子，她说“就是因为有你这样的人，我们的处境才这么难”，以及史蒂夫妻子前面洗澡的镜头表示她也被吃掉了一条腿，很难不联想到父权社会“吃女人”，男人蚕食女性，而史蒂夫的妻子就代表伥鬼，她自己被剥削却看不得别的女性得救，默认这种压迫继续发生。电影里女主、闺蜜和佩妮联手杀掉了压迫者，但现实却与片尾曲最后一幕相合：圆桌上摆满女人的肉，桌前的男性或裸体或西装革履正等待用餐，鲜血流了下来，这场“盛宴”不会停止
女主像海瑟薇，男主82年的但看着却很老气。
色调不喜欢、演员不喜欢、剧情有不合理的地方，但整体不错，三星吧。
